Our story.

Hi my name is Jade. I am an approximately 1.5 year old dog originally from Taiwan now living in Canada! I had no home in Taiwan and was just living on the street with my 6 beautiful puppies. I guess some wonderful kind people who volunteered at a rescue organization in Taiwan were worried about the safety of my puppies living on the street so they rescued all of us and brought us into the shelter. They knew that if we stayed in Taiwan we wouldn't have much of a chance at a good life so they partnered up with another dog rescue group in Canada who then brought me here. I was placed in a foster home for a month until my new mom found me and adopted me! My foster mom was amazing though and I will never forget her. She gave me my first real home ever! She spent lots of time playing with me and loving me and making me less scared. She took me to the dog park everyday, although I wasn't a very big fan of that place initially. I was a little overwhelmed and having a hard time adjusting to my new life. After a while though I started playing with the other dogs and now I just love the dog park! My foster mom also taught me how to sit and walk on a leash. She had other dogs as well so that made me feel way more comfortable. She even brought me in to work everyday so that I didn't have to stay at home alone. What a nice lady eh?! Going from the street, where people weren't very nice to me, to now living in a new country in a home with a family is a big adjustment for me and I still have a long way to go but my new mom is working really hard with me. She is very patient and comforts me when I get scared or uncomfortable with new things, people and situations. I snuggle up with her every morning and tell her I love her and thank her so much for loving me too! Anyways time for me to play, I'm sure my mom well give you an update on how I'm doing soon! Bye for now!
